My first tutorial!

Hey everyone! So I just recently posted my first tutorial. I'm excited to know what you guys think! I know off the bat that the lighting needs to be improved upon...my room is really dark even with all of the lights turned on (That's one ceiling light and three lamps!), but I'm working on it slowly but surely!

And be sure to enter my giveaway while you still can! One lucky winner will receive an OPI Shattered nail polish from the Katy Perry collection!!!!

I wanted to do a simple neutral eye tutorial that's easy to wear to work, to school or if you're just wanting something cute and natural looking. You really only need 3 eye shadows, some mascara and a good eye liner. It's quick and simple and I have it down to five minutes for my morning routine. Easy peasy!

If you're wanting to know more about the Stila Make Me Blush kit that I got for Valentine's day, check out my previous post here. I still plan on doing swatches for both lip glazes and the blush itself.

Also, for a better idea of the Make Me Up kit I purchased from Sigma Beauty, you can check out the post I created, or go directly to the Sigma Beauty site. I really love these brushes...all 12 of them! And though it was a pretty penny to spend at first, I look at it as an investment. It was worth every penny for the quality I received with these brushes. They're super soft, don't have much fallout, are amazing when applying product and they're even in a super adorable color! As previously mentioned, they come in four different colors.

Updates OMG!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay in not having posted in a bit, life has kept me busy! I've been working on a compiled haul with the help of my sister. Right now she's taking photography courses so I figured enlisting her help to take photos would be nicer and easier than taking them myself with my old Canon point and shoot.

Don't forget about my giveaway either! For more information, details and more on how you can win an OPI Shattered nail polish click here!

I also realize that I was meant to have a Vegas Haul, but that didn't turn out since I had to return a few of the products (Like the Yves St-Laurent Faux Cils Mascara) and that some of the accessories I bought at Forever 21 broke. Which in turn is super disappointing since there was this one awesome necklace with a bicycle outlined in shiny crystals, but the handlebar broke off. I think it's because it was pewter or something and the metal was too thin.

For my upcoming haul it's going to include two pairs of really cute boots that I bought off of Hautelook. And I must say that this site is quickly becoming a morning routine for me. There's usually something that catches my eye and considering the deals you can get, I save money while shopping. It's a great win win no? Haha! Anyways, there's a pair of Kenneth Cole booties that are super adorable and a faux suede pair of flat short boots with a metal belt accessory. I was apprehensive about purchasing footwear online, not knowing if the sizes would fit, what the material would be, if they would be comfortable etc. But I must say that with those two pairs I'm really impressed. They both fit perfectly, are in excellent brand new condition and even come with the brand new shoe smell! AMAZING! And for designer shoes at 20$ a pop...I think I got amazing deals on both of them!

For Hautelook you can use this invitation to join. It's free to sign up and for a great perk, ask your friends to join and if they buy something, you'll get 10$ for having referred them. The brands change every day and some of the great ones that I've seen have been Juicy Couture, NYX Cosmetics, Urban Decay, Kenneth Cole, Eve Pearl and more. I have a tendency to go for the cosmetics and shoes! Depending on what you're into, there's something for everyone and you can get it at a great price too!

Coming up in future blog posts, I'll also do a review on my recent Sephora purchase. I bought the Valentines kit from Stila which included this really cute blush (The blush had the pattern of different candy hearts...sooo cute!) and two mini lip glazes. And for the lip glazes being minis, they're pretty big too! For pictures and more, you can see my previous blog post here: Stila Make Me Blush

And last but not least, I'm hoping to start on a few tutorials. One of them is a really quick and easy natural look that literally takes five minutes to do in the morning. It brightens up the eyes but still gives enough definition to give your eyes that POP!

NOTW

Hey everyone! So I'm trying to get better at doing my nails, trying different designs and patterns, colors etc so I figured I might as well do a Nail of the Week (NOTW) with photos of what I've done for the week.

I recently went into Pharmaprix and they had a whole bunch of nail polishes on sale and on liquidation. Of course, for the price I had to pick up a few haha! I'm obsessed with OPI, whether it's the Nicole, Sephora or regular brand.

During my hunt, I found a cute mini set of reds, I'm guessing it's a holiday set or something because it was originally 12.99$ and I bought it for 4$. That's cheap for 3 Nicole by OPI minis! As well, I also found this weird kind of grey that's supposed to be matte with small glitter. Which for this I don't understand, what's the point of a matte polish if it has glitter in it, doesn't that defeat the purpose? Anyways, the color was cute and it was on liquidation for 5$ instead of 11.99$ so I swiped that too!
Lastly, they weren't on liquidation but my mom had asked me to find her cute neutral colors that were on sale, and low and behold, Rimmel was on sale for like 3$ off. I paid 3.99$ for each of the polishes, but can't remember how much they originally cost. It was a good deal none the less!

So I bought 3 Rimmel polishes, a neutral white/pink (From their manicure collection and can't remember the name), a reddish brown one called Hot Cocoa and a purple/brown color called Steel Grey. I thought they were all super cute and in the end my mom only wanted the pink one so I kept the other two.

Right now I have a mix of Essie's Turquoise and Caicos and Sephora by OPI's Only Gold For Me. It's cute and glittery and festive enough for me to celebrate my birthday this weekend up north! Sorry that the picture is a bit blurry :/ My camera decided it didn't want to be nice tonight!
What are you guys wearing on your nails now? And any good tips on how I can go about stopping biting my nails? It's mostly derived from boredom or when I'm nervous. And I know I shouldn't do it...but I still do and my fingers pay the price for it....ouch!

Sigma Beauty Makeup Brushes

Hey everyone! I wanted to talk about makeup brushes and a brand I recently discovered and have fallen in love with!

I've recently been on the hunt for makeup brushes so that I can not only have a complete kit, but have one that will last a long time, are nice and soft, good quality and more. I had high expectations for Crown Brushes but the two sets I purchased really disappointed me.

Well, good news for that sad turn of events, I've discovered Sigma Beauty! Now a lot of you may have already heard about Sigma brushes, and what's great about them is that they're similar to MAC brushes. In more ways than one! For quality, brush shapes and more!

These brushes are really nice and soft and I have yet to hear or see anything negative about Sigma brushes! I have personal friends who have previously purchased them, after looking around the market a bit and not necessarily having the budget to buy MAC brushes or other high end brands and then fell upon Sigma. The thing is, you get the same quality if not better as the high end brands, but you're not paying the price! It's great! And on top of that, if you spend 30$ or more, they even throw in a free gift. Awesome right?

If you click on the ad above it will bring you to Sigma'swebsite where you can see the brushes and other products for yourself. I like the idea of being able to purchase individually or the option to buy sets. And another thing to look for is that there's always something on special!

Not everyone needs a full face and eye kit so it's nice that if you do want a kit, they have those options available for purchase. The prices vary, but the quality in the brushes don't! What's fun too is they have a new collection where you can choose a set and select the color you want. There's teal, pink, purple and black. These are the Make Me Up collection. They're super good and if you're looking into investing into great brushes I would definitely recommend these ones! If you look in the picture above you can see the cute colors yourself! If you want to see them bigger go here. They retail for 99$ and though that seems expensive, figure that you're getting 12 brushes and a case for them to be stored in. Excluding the case, it's about 8$ a brush which is really reasonable! And compared to buying them separately, that's saving you 73$!

Oh and just so you guys know, if you buy this kit you even get a free travel size E25 brush! Amazing yes?!

If you guys end up making a purchase at Sigma or already have, tell me about it! I want to know what you bought and why!
